Material K52 is a stitch bonded needle mat on base of glass needle mat according to DIN 1259.

It improves the thermal insulation properties of the fiber glass, by adding heat-reflecting properties of reinforced aluminium.

It is an odourless product at high temperatures and it is suitable for shaping into complex forms.
It is particularly suited for industrial insulation when a high resistance to temperatures is required.
Ideal for thermal insulation of trains, aeroplanes and ships due to its excellent soundproofing qualities.
It can be used also in thermal treatment of places where it is necessary to comply with fire prevention laws

Applications

  • Industrial
    Thermal and acoustic insulation, heat exchanger insulation, optimization and energy saving of boilers, pipe wrapping, valves.

  • Acoustic insulation
    Soundproofing of hoods/
    cowlings and engine compartments, inside of silencers and mufflers
  • Automotive
    Thermal insulation (mattress padding for mufflers and pipes);
     acoustic insulation (soundproofing of hoods/
    cowlings and engine compartments, inside of silencers and mufflers)
  • Motorcycle
    Thermal and acoustic insulation (preformed cartridges for mufflers and silencers, protection of plastic parts and fairings, pipe wrapping).
